Elysia is a registered counsellor and psychotherapist (PACFA) who completed a postgraduate Master of Counselling degree at Edith Cowan University, and holds additional training in gestalt psychotherapy.

Elysia offers in-person and telehealth (online) support to individuals aged 16 years and above and her areas of focus include (but are not limited to):

Elysia’s Approach

While Elysia’s approach is grounded in gestalt therapy and a strong focus on the client’s present moment experiences, she also draws from integrative and evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), and schema therapy. Elysia also utilises mindfulness and somatic therapies where appropriate. Elysia works closely with her clients to validate their experience, to support a deeper awareness of self, and to foster self-compassion.

Elysia’s goal is to build collaborative and supportive relationships with her clients based on trust and safety, which she believes is the foundation for meaningful change. Elysia has a warm, relaxed and conversational approach in therapy and does not pathologise or diagnose individuals. Elysia meet her clients where they are, with compassion and non-judgement.
