Mt Lawley Counselling Centre, Perth WA
The Mt Lawley Counselling Centre has eight practitioners who specialise
in different areas of therapy, and are highly trained and experienced.
The Centre is well located, in an attractive character house on Alvan Street, close to the café strip in Mt Lawley. There is plenty of free
parking and public transport is easily accessible, with buses on Walcott Street
and Beaufort Street, and the railway station nearby.
Elyse Frankel
Elyse is a clinical psychologist who specialises in the area
of sex therapy. She has many years experience working with individuals and couples about a variety of clinical
issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, sexual concerns, grief and loss, sexual abuse,
infertility, family and parenting issues. In working with clients, Elyse creates a safe and supportive
environment in which to encourage people to explore their concerns. She encourages and assists individuals
to develop their awareness of themselves and to use this knowledge to grow.

Hank Glorie
Hank is a Clinical Psychologist and qualified Gestalt
Counsellor, who has also studied developmental psychology, psychoanalytic therapies, and Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy. Hank has extensive experience counselling individual adults and couples. He
has worked as a clinical psychologist in community agencies and hospital environments.

Samantha McLaughlin
Samantha is a psychotherapist, an accredited Gestalt therapist and a skilled Relationship,
Family, and Adolescence Counsellor. Samantha has a special interest in early childhood
attachments and how they impact upon self-esteem, depression and recurring relationship
issues. Samantha is an experienced Postnatal Depression counsellor and also co-facilitates
a Postnatal Depression support group.

Julia Pemberton
Julia is a registered psychologist specialising in child and adolescent issues.
She has over 12 years clinical experience working with adults, children and
adolescents about a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress,
grief and loss, separation, relationship issues, suicide prevention, parenting
issues, parent/teen conflict and psycho-oncology (cancer). Julia utilises a range
of therapeutic approaches including CBT, interpersonal psychotherapy, solution
focused brief therapy, family therapy, art and play therapy and mediation.

Anna Amhrose
Over 10 years, Anna has gained experience working with children, young people and their families
in a range of settings including community based agencies and the domestic/family violence field.
Anna's areas of specialty include working with children between the ages of 3 years and 15 years (individually and
in sibling groups) and working with parents on a range of parenting issues. She employs a range of
tools such as play therapy and child-centred counselling techniques addressing issues such as developing
social skills, grief and loss issues, anger management and family separation. Anna has experience
with supporting families with developing behaviour management strategies, conflict resolution and
building strong relationships. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Community and Welfare Workers.

Daniel Mills
Daniel is a counsellor, psychotherapist and accredited Gestalt therapist who
has extensive experience working with both individuals and couples around a
wide range of issues. Daniel has worked in community based organizations as
a counsellor, group facilitator and supervisor for other counsellors. Daniel
provides a respectful, supportive and challenging therapeutic environment
for clients to explore individual and relationship concerns. He is
particularly skilled in helping his clients understand how their current
thoughts, feelings and behaviours, as well as past experiences, are related
to ongoing problems.

Vivienne Dench
DVivienne is a psychosocial occupational therapist and an accredited gestalt therapist providing counselling and psychotherapy services. She has worked in community agencies and mental health services as an occupational therapist and as a counsellor. She uses a range of therapeutic approaches including gestalt therapy, cognitive- behavioural therapies, stress management and relaxation strategies. Vivienne is skilled in counselling adult individuals about a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and issues to do with life transitions such as mid-life crisis and retirement. Vivienne provides a respectful and gently challenging therapeutic environment for clients to explore how they currently respond to difficulties and to develop their awareness of more effective and fulfilling alternatives.

Leonie Sinclair
Leonie is a registered psychologist who has a Master's degree in Gestalt therapy. She has worked in schools, hospitals and in private practice for more than 25 years. She specialises in working with people struggling within the family or relationships. She offers counselling to people presenting with issues of anxiety, depression, loss and grief, trauma recovery, and life stage transitions such as divorce/separation, and menopause. She has a special interest in sexuality, and offers support to gay/lesbian couples and same sex attracted people.
